Fouled heat exchange surfaces rapidly increase operating costs. Thus, proper cleaning is an imperative. The cleaning site is evaluated for equipment requirements, deposition samples are collected and submitted to our analytical laboratory, and the correct cleaning agent is selected. Weighed sacrificial anodes are immersed in the cleaning solution prior to and during the cleaning process, and then reweighed to determine potential metal loss. Upon completion of the cleaning process the system is pacified with a neutralized agent and disposed according to federal, state, and local regulations. Finally, a cleaning log is submitted to the customer.
